Listing Standards
Listing Standards for Business.
It is important for everyone to note that this is a membership based Site with the following restrictions.
1. Your business must be legal for the trade area that you are listed in as a business. It is your responsibility to ensure that any licensing is in place. If you are required to have a city or town license, then you must have it. If you use a business name, it should be registered to ensure that you are not advertising for a name that someone else owns. We also will do a check with Better Business Bureau to check your business name against their database.
2. As a business you agree that the content displayed is your material and that all content is accurate. A consumer can ask for verification of licensing, business insurance, or worker's compensation, and as a business, you agree to provide it. There is no room for error on this issue.
3. A rating of F with Better Business Bureau means that you cannot be on this Site except in our Caution Advised area. There is no logical reason to have an F rating with this organization. If the rating is in error, please get it corrected at the Bureau that issued the rating. If you need assistance, contact us and we will help you communicate with the proper people. Please note if you are a contractor or a mover, you must be part of Better Business Bureau in order to be on this Site.
4. You must have an email address and we will need to place you on permission-based list in order to update you with your listing and any website changes and additional features. Safe and Trusted Canada works on a very strict email system and you must opt into the system in order for Safe and Trusted Canada to contact you on a regular basis. We wish to help your business succeed and without communication it cannot happen.
5. Contractors should have business insurance and worker's compensation if needed. All contractors that are part of BBB are clearly identified.
6. The owner of the business owns the listing and receives the feedback and reviews. There are two types of feedback. Please read the rating system page. We know that most issues come as a surprise to some business owners simply because a receptionist has been the filtering system to determine what is necessary for the business owner to know. We do not want that to happen to you as a business owner. The owner is the only one that should be given the feedback, as feedback might come from one of the staff.
7. As a contractor, do not give any leads to anyone else. If you have subcontractors, get them on this list first. We are not interested in giving leads to a one man contractor, who passes on leads from Safe and Trusted Canada to non members. The lead is for Safe and Trusted Canada members only and the consumer may be contacted on a random basis to ensure that only Safe and Trusted Canada members responded to the lead.
8. If you use the Contractor Quick Quote as a consumer, you cannot be a contractor.
9. Safe and Trusted Canada is for the business that wants to grow and to harvest the results of a positive reputation.
10. Your return on investment grows with your interaction with your customers. It is important that you ask for feedback from all your customers. The business with the most feedback is at the top of the database in every category.
