Every business can be rated on Safe and Trusted Canada, but can only be rated once by a consumer as every rating is tied to an IP address from the computer that gave the review.
You are then able to rate that business anonymously.
If you don't want to be anonymous, simply apply for a free Consumer Account.
This gives you the tools to inform businesses about their products and services without disclosing your identity. This ensures that there is no backlash and even allows employees the ability to give feedback once to a business owner.
It also however gives the business owner the opportunity to hear good things as well, and when a employee has serviced a customer well, the employee also feels good about their performance. We prefer to look at catching employees doing things right rather than look for the negatives.
A feedback Key PDF will be attached to the business. The business with the most reviews is at the top of their business category. Businesses can print the PDF Document and hand it to their customers of they can send the document by email to all their present and past customers. Any feedback generated this way is anonymous from the business clients and invites more feedback. Safe and Trusted Canada receives all the feedback. We make the decision to post anonymous feedback or send it to the business owner. We do not post negative anonymous feedback.
Consumers who apply for a free consumer account on Safe and Trusted Canada are not anonymous. They must provide full details of who they are. Positive Postings will be automatic. Safe and Trusted Canada will review negative postings more closely. We may contact the consumer by phone, or email. We may suggest other alternatives like Better Business Bureau. Anything currently or previously before the courts will not be posted if we are aware of this in advance of the posting. We post all consumer account feedback because the consumer is known to us. We do not give the name of the consumer to the business unless there is a legal challenge. If the business wishes to contact the consumer, we will advise the consumer that the business wishes to be contacted.
Safe and Trusted will not delete or alter content from any review. Posting of any review is decided by Safe and Trusted Canada.
