Our Rating System

Our rating system is as follows:

1. Each business on the Site has an initial automatic 3 Star Rating with the exception of a BBB accredited business which starts off at a 4 Star Rating.  This initial rating will change on the first review by any consumer.  

2. Our system only allows one rating per consumer or business account.  The IP address of your computer registers on our system as well as your email address in setting up consumer accounts.  

3. Our system acknowledges that there will be consumer and business disagreement 10% of the time.  Do not use our rating system as a complaint mechanism.   

4. Feedback Key Cards can be issued by the business with an Advanced Account.  This allows the business to show that a high number of their customers and clients appreciate, support and relies on their business.  They also recommend the business to others. 

5. The purpose of this Directory is to showcase good businesses.  If you have complaints tell the business first.  Other options include Better Business Bureau.  Giving the business a negative rating before you give the business a chance to correct itself is not a smart thing to do.  Your rating is not anonymous. Safe and Trusted Directory is a tool for responsible communication.       

6. Only the last rating from an account holder is retained in the system.  Only the last review counts from your computer.  

7. The business should not rate itself.  If you can't get your clients to give you a rating, then that's where you may want to look at the Advanced Account and the Feedback Key to make it easier for them to do this.

8. All feedback is displayed on the Site.   The business can challenge at any time any feedback. Our experience has been that licensed businesses plan on being here for the long term.  They are interested in being successful. Educated consumers do not want to be compromised and will research  a business thoroughly when there is a major purchase and we hope that good ratings on this Site will assist them in that search.   

9. Our rating system is subjective and is determined by the consumer.  Use common sense in reading the rating of any business.   

The rating process and the feedback key is a good way to gain online testimonials.
