Thanks to the efforts of the Multicultural Heritage Centre, Pioneer Museum and other committed organizations, the past comes to life in Stony Plain. Our historic downtown, dotted with colourful summer gardens and quaint shops, is a focal point for our community. We are also tremendously proud of the Historic Outdoor Mural Program which celebrates our rich heritage through magnificent works of art located throughout the community.
Residents and visitors alike enjoy a wealth of green space and recreational opportunities in Stony Plain. There are numerous leisure programs and youth activities to take part in and a myriad of community events to enjoy. Take advantage of our outstanding recreational facilities including the TransAlta tri Leisure Centre, our 18-hole golf course, and 17.5 kilometres of walking and cycling trails.
