Town of Osoyoos

The Safe and Trusted Canada website is presented in English. You may use your browser's translation feature to view the website in your preferred language. Safe and Trusted Canada creates and maintains Information Only Profiles using publicly available business information. Safe and Trusted Canada goes beyond business names, reviews, and star ratings. Consumers can find Canadian businesses by location, category, services, and credentials, including licensing, liability insurance and WCB coverage where applicable. Business profiles may also include images, videos, documents, promotions and employment opportunities with direct links to the business website. See More About Safe and Trusted Canada

A business owner or authorized representative may request removal of an Information Only Profile at any time. Business owners may also manage their listing at no charge through a free Basic Account. The Basic Account provides a username and password, giving the business owner control of the information displayed in the listing and the ability to keep it up to date. See Your Profile Options as a Business.

Consumers can search for a business by business location, phone number, city, or trade area, credentials, and more.   See the YouTube Video

Please note that only businesses with business subscriptions will be seen in cities or towns.  All other information-only profiles will be seen in the closest trade area to their city or town.

Plus, Standard, and Advanced Subscriptions are seen in their closest trade area, plus all the cities and towns applicable to their subscription.

The Professional Subscription is seen in up to five trade areas, plus all the cities and towns applicable to their subscription.  They are marked as a Featured Listing for their province, trade areas and cities.

Business Detail

Osoyoos is a town in the southern part of the Okanagan Valley near British Columbia's border with Washington state, and neighbouring the reserve of the Osoyoos Indian Band. Because of its popularity as a recreational area with residents from elsewhere in British Columbia and especially Alberta, its population of nearly 5,000 people swells in the summer months. There is also a rapidly growing year-round retiree population. The vineyards of the Southern Okanagan lie within one of Canada's most unique ecosystems: The Sonora Desert. In recent years, Okanagan vintners have recieved increasing attention, both for their Award-winning wines and for the increasing popularity of wine tourism in the valley. Nk'mip Cellars is North America's first Aboriginal Winery.

Osoyoos is a wonderful recreational destination - with miles of shallow, sandy beaches. The lake is quite deep in its centre - a delight for fishermen. Five varieties of fish can be caught, including Large Mouth Bass, Trout, Kokanee, Perch and White Fish. There are three boat launches and several marinas where you can rent boats, skidoos, or paddle boats. Be aware that the lake extends into Washington State and there are serious penalties for crossing into U.S. waters without prior border approval. By taking a drive along Hwy. 3 East, you can reach the Anarchist Mountain Viewpoint, where you can see a breathtaking view of Osoyoos.

For the casual outdoors enthusiast, Osoyoos has many paths and walkways to follow. Bike and motor-scooters are available for rent and many visitors spend the entire day riding along the lake. Our town is blessed with mild winters - in Osoyoos you may find yourself golfing one day, and skiing the next.

With any outdoor activity you must first decide between a myriad of breathtaking views - fruit orchards blooming in springtime, vineyards, the lake, or the evergreen-covered mountains that envelop the valley.

For a longer day trip - birding, fishing or hiking, nearby Kilpoola Lake is just one of many unique spots in the Southern Okanagan.

Osoyoos, along with the rest of the Okanagan Valley, is a popular summertime vacation destination. Osoyoos itself almost doubles in size during the summer, turning this bustling little town into a small city.

Possible Solutions

Possible Solutions for Your Business

Consumer Information

At Safe and Trusted Canada, we value honest and helpful feedback from real customers. If you’ve had a paid service or purchase with any business listed on our site, you’re welcome to leave one review for that business. To share your experience, sign in to your account and submit your review. Your insights help other Canadians make confident decisions when choosing trusted businesses.
See More. How reviews are handled. https://safeandtrusted.com/content.php?id=6027
If a business does not have an account on our platform, only your rating will be displayed. When a business does have an account, it can approve your review content and even thank you directly for sharing your feedback.

Every business listing indicates that the consumer needs to protect their interests at all times. Safe and Trusted Canada does not recommend, accredit, promote or validate any business. The Site provides public links to review sites that permit us to publish those links. Subscription types give business owners different advertising options, but the Site does suggest that credibility determines the subscription level. The company and the consumer entirely determine transactions with each other. Safe and Trusted Canada does not mediate complaints, issues, or concerns. Seek legal advice for complex transactions. Protect your interests, as the removal of the business may occur at any time. See all subscription types for Businesses. https://safeandtrusted.com/for_business_subscription_types.php

Possible Regions

Every business can access any trade area in Canada.  A contractor can access other trade areas, understanding that they may need a municipal license for those areas.  A company that markets to other trade areas to draw consumers to its business location requires a municipal license for its trade area only.  The number of trade areas depends on the subscription type; the Professional subscription allows 20.  Businesses can purchase extra trade areas.  Businesses with Account Status can eliminate this content section at any time.
