The Safe and Trusted Canada website is presented in English. You may use your browser's translation feature to view the website in your preferred language. Safe and Trusted Canada creates and maintains Information Only Profiles using publicly available business information. Safe and Trusted Canada goes beyond business names, reviews, and star ratings. Consumers can find Canadian businesses by location, category, services, and credentials, including licensing, liability insurance and WCB coverage where applicable. Business profiles may also include images, videos, documents, promotions and employment opportunities with direct links to the business website. See More About Safe and Trusted Canada
A business owner or authorized representative may request removal of an Information Only Profile at any time. Business owners may also manage their listing at no charge through a free Basic Account. The Basic Account provides a username and password, giving the business owner control of the information displayed in the listing and the ability to keep it up to date. See Your Profile Options as a Business.
Consumers can search for a business by business location, phone number, city, credentials, and more. See the YouTube Video
Business Detail
Carberry is the largest town in the Rural Municipality of North Cypress in southwestern Manitoba, Canada. It is home to 1,502 people and is located 50 kilometres east of Brandon, Manitoba.
Carberry and the surrounding Rural Municipality of North Cypress are known as "King Spud Country", a nickname which pays homage to the high quality potatoes grown in the area due to ideal soil conditions for the crop. Many businesses in Carberry offer services and supplies to support the robust agriculture industry. Food processing makes use of locally produced crops and is a major employer in the community.
A local plant owned by McCain Foods makes various potato products, and is a major supplier for McDonald's Restaurants in Canada and the United States as well as producing potato products that are found in other well known restaurants, grocery stores and other varied world markets. It is one of the most highly advanced plants of its kind in North America and normally operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Along with potatoes, the local agriculture industry is very diverse and includes other vegetable, grain, pulse, and industrial hemp crops as well as dairy, poultry and livestock, among other mixed farming. From sports memorabilia to artifacts from early prairie life, our Museum displays are a fascinating look back. As well, our recently renovated and celebrated Gingerbread House is a breath-taking marvel of turn-of-the-century fanciful architecture. We also celebrate the talent and passion of our former resident, famed naturalist, Ernest Thompson Seton at The Seton Centre in downtown Carberry. From our country fair, to the crystal waters of our new swimming pool, we celebrate the arrival of summer every year. No visit would be complete without nine holes at the Sandhills Golf and Country Club, located just south of Carberry in the RM of North Cypress. Camp and explore beautiful Spruce Woods Provincial Park, 15 minutes south of Carberry. Or camp at our own Municipal Campground or Ag Society grounds, compete with fully serviced lots, showers and modern washroom facilities. Winter holds as much fun as summer, with non-stop events at our local Recreation Centre. From bonspiels to hockey tournaments, winter in Manitoba wouldnât be the same without curling and hockey! Or just come for a skate and celebrate winter in Carberry!
