The Safe and Trusted Canada website is presented in English. You may use your browser's translation feature to view the website in your preferred language. Safe and Trusted Canada creates and maintains Information Only Profiles using publicly available business information. Safe and Trusted Canada goes beyond business names, reviews, and star ratings. Consumers can find Canadian businesses by location, category, services, and credentials, including licensing, liability insurance and WCB coverage where applicable. Business profiles may also include images, videos, documents, promotions and employment opportunities with direct links to the business website. See More About Safe and Trusted Canada

A business owner or authorized representative may request removal of an Information Only Profile at any time. Business owners may also manage their listing at no charge through a free Basic Account. The Basic Account provides a username and password, giving the business owner control of the information displayed in the listing and the ability to keep it up to date. See Your Profile Options as a Business.

Consumers can search for a business by business location, phone number, city, or trade area, credentials, and more.   See the YouTube Video

Please note that only businesses with business subscriptions will be seen in cities or towns.  All other information-only profiles will be seen in the closest trade area to their city or town.

Plus, Standard, and Advanced Subscriptions are seen in their closest trade area, plus all the cities and towns applicable to their subscription.

The Professional Subscription is seen in up to five trade areas, plus all the cities and towns applicable to their subscription.  They are marked as a Featured Listing for their province, trade areas and cities.

Business Detail

Grimsby (Canada 2006 Census population 24,240) is a town on Lake Ontario in the Niagara Region, Ontario, Canada. Grimsby is a part of the Hamilton Census Metropolitan Area.

Recreation is serious business, here in Grimsby. There are two marinas in town, and a free boat ramp, so there's no excuse for not taking part in the fabulous fishing, boating and water skiing available on Lake Ontario. Feel like a nice, quiet walk in the woods? We've got that too, on the Bruce Trail, which winds along the Niagara Escarpment. In the spring, there's the Hawk Watch, taking place at the Beamer Conservation Area. There are several regulation golf courses within minutes of downtown. And, we've got winter and summer hockey and soccer, tennis, softball, raquetball, swimming and curling.

There are more than 100 retail stores in Grimsby: beer and liquor outlets, wine boutiques, a post office, hospital, library, art gallery, museum and Tourist Information Centre, to provide information on things to do and see in Grimsby and Niagara.

We also have many fine restaurants, and friendly Bed-and-Breakfast operators to make you feel at home during your stay.

And, we have hundreds of acres of parks, on the lakeshore, along the Niagara Escarpment, and downtown, so bring a picnic lunch and enjoy nature at its finest.

Yes, we have the Lake and the Escarpment. But for those who want to do more than just look, there's plenty to do in Grimsby: Sample a selection of Niagara's world-renowned wines as you tour the many wineries on the Wine Route.

The Art Festival on Nelles Boulevard in early September, and our own Grimsby Art Gallery, lure hundreds of artists and craftspeople, and thousands of visitors from all over Ontario and the United States to view the work of some of Canada's most outstanding artists. Trace our history from our agricultural, United Empire Loyalist roots, to the present day at the Grimsby Museum. Check at the Chamber of Commerce for tours of our many fine historically significant homes. Enjoy camping on the shores of Lake Ontario at 50 Point Conservation Area. Drop a line off one of our piers, join a charter or put the boat in the water to take part in the annual Salmon Derby. Every year on the last Saturday in April, the Grimsby Public Art Gallery celebrates Wayzgoose, a festival of Book Arts. This annual book arts fair brings together private presses from all across Canada and the United States representing the renewal of old friendships, the beginning of new ones, and the appreciation for handmade book and paper arts. Demonstrations and displays of paper making, book binding, calligraphy, paper marbling, and book making celebrates the love of fine art, fine craft, and stories. There are other places that say they're friendly. But, we know we live in the best little town in Canada: we're proud of it, and we're glad to welcome you to share in our good fortune.

Every business can access any trade area in Canada.  A contractor can access other trade areas, understanding that they may need a municipal license for those areas.  A company that markets to other trade areas to draw consumers to its business location requires a municipal license for its trade area only.  The number of trade areas depends on the subscription type; the Professional subscription allows 20.  Businesses can purchase extra trade areas.  Businesses with Account Status can eliminate this content section at any time.
