Rainy River Marina: This beautiful riverside access point provides a boat launch and mooring facilities for fisherman and recreational boaters. It is also a picturesque site for picnicking, swimming and enjoying the beauty of the great Rainy River. A local canteen located at the docks provide food and drink as well.
Railroad Heritage Museum & 4008 Steam Engine: This fascinating museum explores the unique history of the town, with an emphasis on the centrality of the railroad in its formation and development. Including the exhibits, displayed inside a restored, antique railway passenger car, visitors can also explore the inside of a caboose. Perhaps most appealing is the restored steam engine, the 4008. All of this can be conveniently found next to the provincial tourism centre.
Celebrating the agricultural wealth of region, the Rainy River Giant Pumpkin Festival is a time of good fun, good food and amazing produce.
