Butler Byers Insurance Ltd. began operations in Saskatoon in 1907 and was one of the first insurance brokers in the community. They have always been an independent broker which allows them to shop the market on behalf of their customers to find the best rates and the best coverages available. Butler Byers has access to all the major insurance companies and putting the needs of the customer first is what has kept them in business all these years.

Today, Butler Byers insurance provides a full range of products and services for their customers, from standard household insurance to very specialized business coverages, from auto to life insurance, from corner store operators to large, multi-faceted companies, from medical and travel insurance to mutual fund investments. To meet the growing and diverse needs of their clients, Butler Byers now operates in two (2) locations in Saskatoon, downtown at the corner of 4th Avenue and 24th Street and on 8th Street, next to The Future Shop. Butler Byers boasts an experienced complement of long-term, well trained staff. They have a complement over 30 staff dedicated to serving clients on a timely basis. Within this group, there are insurance specialists dealing with life, personal, auto, business/commercial and financial services.

In 1998 Butler Byers Insurance was a finalist in the community involvement category of the SABEX Awards. In April 1999, just prior to his death, Jack Byers received the SABEX Hall of Fame Award, a prestigous award for long-time contribution to the business community.

As one of the largest and oldest brokers in Saskatchewan, Butler Byers is very proud of their staff and the services they provide. The number of primary categories and subcategories allowed depends on the business's subscription.  (The Basic allows 1 Primary Category and a total of 5 subcategories., The Plus allows 2 Primary Categories and a combined total of 20 subcategories. The Standard allows 3 Primary Categories and a combined total of 30 subcategories. The Advanced allows 4 Primary Categories and a combined total of 40 subcategories. Possible Regions

Every business can access any trade area in Canada.  A contractor can access other trade areas, understanding that they may need a municipal license for those areas.  A company that markets to other trade areas to draw consumers to its business location requires a municipal license for its trade area only.  The number of trade areas depends on the subscription type; the Professional subscription allows 20.  Businesses can purchase extra trade areas.  Please see our application.
